Full Prenatal Care
Prenatal care consists of ~12-15 prenatal visits in your home. Prenatal care starts as early as 6 weeks. Appointments range from 45 mins. to 1 hour in duration. During prenatal visits we will discuss your care, nutrition, common discomforts, get your questions answered, and learn about your growing baby.
At every visit we check mama's vital signs, listen to baby's heartbeat, check baby's position, measure fundal height, and collect labs as needed. All lab work will be drawn in the comfort of your own home and billed through insurance. If you don't have insurance a $500 additional fee will be added to the midwifery fee. We do require an anatomy scan and lab work in pregnancy. Prenatal care schedule is as follows:
Once a month until 28 weeks
Every 2 weeks until 36 weeks
Every week until delivery
Homebirth
Starting at 37 weeks your midwife will be on call for you, 24/7, via phone in the event that labor begins.
During early labor, your midwife is available via phone to offer guidance. Once active labor begins, your midwife will come to your home and prepare for your birth. Your midwife will bring all necessary supplies, emergency equipment, and medications. During your labor we monitor you and baby, continuously, making sure you are still low-risk for a homebirth. Your midwife and a trained midwife assistant will attend your birth.
Your labor will be individualized to your needs. Guidance from what positions to get into to slowing down your breathing can be offered to you. We will use our expertise and your desires to try our best to cater to you.
After delivery, we will encourage skin-to-skin contact, encourage delayed cord clamping, we will assess your bleeding and baby, and tuck you into bed before we leave.
Postpartum Care
We provide 3 standard postpartum visits in your home. We do a 24-48 hour visit, a 1-2 week visit, and a 6-8 week visit. We are also available for you in between any of those times, if desired.
At 24-48 hours we check in with you and baby to make sure you both are thriving. At this visit we perform the Congenital Heart Defect screening and perform the Newborn Metabolic Screening. We also file the birth certificate and register your baby with Social Security at this visit. Assessment of baby's weight and breastfeeding support is available at every visit.

At your 6-week visit we can offer labs, cervical cancer screening, and prescription for contraception, if desired.
Full Homebirth Fee: $6,000
Payment plans are available. Sliding scale fee available based on need.
We are currently unable to accept any private insurance or Medicaid plans at this time. If you have a Medicaid plan, we offer a $2000 discount. If you have private insurance we can refer you to a biller who can work with your insurance company to try to get you reimbursed for your care.
